i die!

i was eating with friends and staring blankly at the tv screen as linsanity reached the lakers.  as the game breaked for a commercial, i saw the back of his head and the words “adrien brody!” came sputtering out of my mouth along with pizza bits.

for me, what could be better than a stylish adrien brody starring in a commercial?  well, if he used the razor to shave off all his facial hair for one thing.  but no, that’s not what i meant–andre 3000!  a commercial featuring 3 stylish men and 2 of them are my heartthrobs??  #idie!!!  gael’s not bad either, haha.

um, one of my favorite commercials now?  OH YES.

ok, i haven’t watched these videos of them talking about style yet but you can bet your ass that i will!

just. wow.

kelly wearstler’s accomplished quite a bit–playboy “playmate of the month”  turned big time interior designer and now, fashion designer as of spring 2011.  of course, being married to brad korzen of viceroy hotel group doesn’t hurt either.  my company has worked with her studio on a few viceroy properties and i’m especially a fan of the the 7th floor of department store bergdorf goodman.  i forgot to visit the last time i was in nyc, but i will make sure to go this february when i’m there.

she’s really translated her hallmark whimsical style into fashion apparel successfully.  but her marketing team especially is doing a fantastic job.  the  upcoming look book shot by jamie beck of from me to you fame featuring kelly framel of the glamourai notoriety in malibu is just stunning.

i apologize for the many photos, but there are a lot.  and there are so many good ones.  and what would a nod to jamie beck be without a cinemagraph?

and speaking of jamie, how cute is this post on her other half?

evolution of style + dance

how cute is this westfield stratford ad?  it combines a bunch of things i like: fashion, dance, couples (i guess?), and videography.

it chronicles 100 years of east london style from the 1910’s until present times.

when i saw this, it totally reminded me of the evolution of dance video (and i wasn’t alone):

and while we’re on the subject of dance…how amazing is david elsewhere?  an oldie but goodie, i can’t help but smile when i watch this:

he’s one of the silhouettes in my favorite ipod ad (break dancing + daft punk? yes, please!):

it’s a shame he never got to perform with michael jackson; they were collaborating for “this is it”…

dancing is one of the (many) things i really wish i was good at.  funny how this turned from a fashion post to dance.

have a great labor day weekend!  i’ll be spending it churning out 8 essays.

as my first post, i could be feeling some pressure to write something incredibly thought provoking or share something highly entertaining. unfortunately for you i’m lazy and will only be sharing this video (but hey, i think it’s cool).

designer collaborations have been quite popular for a while now. i don’t have any particular affinity for  levi’s or opening ceremony (gasp, blasphemy!), but i do really like this video promoting the levi’s chambray by opening ceremony collection.

enjoy!
